Speech Pathology Services

We accept NDIS (self manged or plan managed), private paying and Medicare clients. Please note, as a sole trader and small business, we are not NDIS-registered and cannot accept NDIA managed participants.

We come to you. We are a fully mobile business, so we can visit you at home, and in other environments where necessary.

We currently offer the following services. Please note, due to a high demand of referrals, we are now adding participants to the waitlist.

AAC assessment and implementation

We offer extensive AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) assessment and support with implementation of AAC recommendations into daily life.

If you or your child is non-speaking or minimally speaking, have situational mutism or moments of shut down, AAC could be worth exploring. This is also appropriate for those who have unclear speech, and want another alternative to get their message across.

AAC can look different for everyone. We assist with both low tech (such as a communication board) and high tech (such as a dedicated AAC device). There are so many options to explore.

Evidence suggests that the use of AAC will also promote further spoken language.

Feeding & Swallowing

Do you or your child cough or choke on food or drink? Does it feel like you get food stuck? Do you have difficulty getting through meals? Do you become really tired when eating? Do your eating muscles feel weak?

If yes to any of these, you may benefit from having a swallowing & feeding assessment and get some strategies to improve your swallowing efficiency.

Voice therapy

Does your voice get tired at the end of the day? Does it feel strained? Do you ever lose your voice? Have you got a voice disorder?

If yes, we can support your voice journey by providing you with a range of strategies and exercises. I have extensive experience with voice over a number of years.

Gender-affirming voice therapy

Do you feel that your voice does not align with your gender? Would you like to feminise or masculinise or neutralise your voice? Or does your voice feel unsteady when using strategies to match your gender?

If so, we offer gender-affirming voice therapy. I have had extensive experience with voice and gender-affirming voice therapy over a number of years.

Early Language

Are you worried about your child not hitting their developmental milestones? Are they a 'late talker' or not talking as much as you feel they should? If so, we can work together to implement some strategies to get your child talking.

Gestalt Language Processing Therapy- Natural Language Acquistion

Do you or your child talk mostly in quotes from games, TV shows, or from what others have said? Do they have a 'musical' sounding voice when they talk or communicate, with differences in intonation?

If so, we can assist with building your or your child's own, original words, phrases and language, and build on their functional language skills.

Music-centred language development

Music is a powerful way to build language skills.

Some children and adults respond best to this, rather than traditional language protocols.

If you or your child responds well to music, this may be a good approach to build language and communication skills.

LGBTQIA+ individual and family services

As an LGBTQIA+ person myself, I know how hard it is to find LGBTQIA+ friendly services. It is even harder to find services who really understand the unique challenges of our community.

We have extensive knowledge from being part of the community and working with a range of LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. I have run presentations and projects in workplaces, to explain the importance of having knowledge and friendly places for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families.

We offer a range of speech pathology services for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families. These include AAC, feeding & swallowing, voice and gender-affirming voice therapy, language and speech.

Speech Pathology Supervision

Are you an early career clinician, or a clinician stepping into the NDIS space for the first time?

We offer supervision on whatever basis you require. This could be on an as needed basis, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We can also facilitate and run group supervision if you'd like to get some colleagues or friends together.

Please email me directly at info@allvoicesspeechpathology.com.au if you would like to engage in this service.

Consulting

Do you want a speech pathology opinion or some quick strategies or advice, but don't want to lock into months and years of speech pathology just yet? Do you want speech pathology but don't have much funding, or don't feel that you or the client can do ongoing therapy, or meet yet another therapist?

We offer consultations with key workers, therapists, parents/caregivers and teachers.

We can offer these as needed, as a one-off or on a 4-6 weekly basis.

If you are interested in this, please still complete the referral form and state that you would like a consultation.
